Sharp County arrest records are kept by the sheriff in Ash Flat and by the city police forces across the county. A weekly arrest report goes out through a local news network and posts names, ages, cities, and charges for people booked that week. Statewide tools like CourtConnect, ARCH, and the ADC inmate search cover the court and prison side. This page shows you where to look for a Sharp County arrest record, what the weekly reports hold, and how to file a FOIA request for the full booking sheet.
Sharp County Arrest Records at a Glance
Sharp County Sheriff Arrest Records
The Sharp County Sheriff's Office is the main source for local arrest records. The Sharp County Detention Center is at 84 Arnhart Street, Ash Flat, AR 72513. The jail phone is 870-994-7329. Deputies book new arrests, work with the Cherokee Village PD and Hardy PD, and run warrants out of the Ash Flat courthouse complex.
For online lookup, the county uses an arrests page. The site shows a jail records lookup with name, age, city, and charges. Weekly arrest reports also go out. Both tools point at the same data the sheriff feeds after a booking. For a same-day confirm, call the jail.
Sharp County Weekly Arrest Reports
Sharp County publishes a weekly incarceration report through a local news site. A screenshot of the tool is below. The site at ecommnewsnetwork.com carries arrest rosters for Sharp and nearby counties. The report runs a new list each week with names, ages, home cities, and the charge categories.

Weekly reports are a useful snapshot. They don't replace the live jail data, though. A person could be booked and released before the next weekly roll-up goes to print. For real-time lookup, call the sheriff at the jail number or check the county arrests page. The weekly report does help when you want context on a rash of arrests over a week.
Note: The weekly report is a news product, not an official jail roster. For the full booking sheet, file a FOIA request with the sheriff's office.

Sharp County Statewide Arrest Records Check
The Arkansas Criminal History (ARCH) system is the public tool for a full state arrest and conviction check. Act 1185 of 2015 created it. The statute is Ark. Code Ann. § 12-12-1501 et seq. ARCH pulls from ACIC and ties results to fingerprints. A single search costs $24.00. Pay by debit or credit card. Launch it at arch.ark.org.
You need the person's first and last name, sex, and date of birth. Results come back as subject identified with a record, subject identified with no record, or no subject found. ARCH covers Arkansas felony and misdemeanor convictions, open felony arrests under three years old, and sex offender status for levels 1 through 4. Under Ark. Code Ann. § 12-12-1013, anyone can see and challenge their own ACIC record. Call 501-682-2222.
ARCH does not return juvenile records, dismissed charges, not-guilty findings, active warrants, sealed records, pardoned convictions, out-of-state history, federal history, traffic arrests, or arrests without prints. Certified copies for immigration or adoption need the mail channel. Form ASP-122 with a $25 fee goes to the Arkansas State Police Identification Bureau in Little Rock.
Sharp County FOIA Rules
The Arkansas Freedom of Information Act at Ark. Code Ann. § 25-19-101 et seq. is the rule for public records. The sheriff has three business days to respond to a written FOIA request. Copy fees are capped at actual cost. Arrest reports, booking sheets, jail rosters, and warrant lists are generally open. Open investigations, juvenile records, and sealed convictions are not. The Attorney General at arkansasag.gov publishes the FOIA Handbook.
Sealing is the Arkansas word for expungement. Under Ark. Code Ann. § 16-90-1401 et seq., misdemeanors and many felony convictions can be sealed after the sentence ends and the wait period runs. Violent felonies, sex offenses with registration, and public indecency counts are not eligible. Juvenile sealing uses Ark. Code Ann. § 9-27-309. Forms are posted by the AOC at arcourts.gov.
For a FOIA letter, write the Sharp County Sheriff's Office at the Ash Flat address. List the records you want and the date range. Give a phone number. The sheriff's office will note the fee for copies and the time to pull the file.
Sharp County Inmate Status and Registry Lookup
Once a Sharp County inmate moves to state prison, the Arkansas Department of Corrections tracks the record. Search by name or ADC number at apps.ark.org/inmate_info. Public results include name, race, date of birth, date of incarceration, offense summary, and current facility. Some records include mugshots.
Victims can sign up for VINE alerts at vinelink.com or by phone at 1-800-510-0415. VINE tracks custody status across state prisons, the State Hospital, and county jails. Registrations are anonymous and protected from FOIA. The state sex offender registry is separate at ark.org/offender-search. Under Ark. Code Ann. § 12-12-903, Arkansas uses four risk levels, with level 4 flagged as a sexually violent predator.
