The sheriff's office also takes in prisoners booked by Russellville Police, Atkins Police, and the Arkansas State Police.

Pope County Sheriff arrest records and inmate roster

The screenshot above pulls from the sheriff's office main page. You can reach the roster, the wanted list, and the press release page from that landing view. For questions on a current arrest, the office has a live phone line during regular hours. Staff can confirm who is in custody and read off the charges.

A written FOIA request under Ark. Code Ann. § 25-19-101 et seq. gets you a full arrest report. Agencies have three business days to respond. Fees cannot run higher than the actual copy cost. The Arkansas Attorney General publishes the FOIA Handbook at arkansasag.gov.

The Pope County Inmate Roster sits at popecoso.org/inmates. The list holds current bookings with names, charges, and booking details. The page refreshes on a regular cycle. Staff use the roster for public lookups and for attorney calls.

Pope County Arkansas inmate roster arrest records

That screen above shows the inmate list. Each row links to more detail on the detainee. The roster is the fastest place to confirm that a person is in custody in Pope County. For a pretrial inmate, the roster is the official source. For a person just moved to state prison, the ADC tool is better.

Note: The Pope County roster is the only official source for a current booking, so third-party mirrors can lag behind real intake data by hours.

The Administrative Office of the Courts runs CourtConnect for free public case search. Search by name, case type, or filing date. Pope County sends partial data to CourtConnect. The arrest event itself does not post. What shows up is the charging document, the docket, and the final disposition. The AOC is at 625 Marshall Street, Little Rock, AR 72201, 501-682-9400. Director Marty Sullivan oversees the office. Help email is acap.help@arcourts.gov.

ARCH and State Criminal History

For a statewide criminal history check tied to fingerprints, use arch.ark.org. The fee is $24. Payment is card only. Results cover Arkansas felony and misdemeanor convictions, open felony arrests less than three years old, and sex offender status under all four levels. ARCH does not return juvenile records, dismissed charges, sealed records, or out-of-state history. The statute is Ark. Code Ann. § 12-12-1501 et seq. The Arkansas State Police Identification Bureau supplies the underlying data. The bureau sits at 1 State Police Plaza Dr., Little Rock, AR 72209. The number is 501-618-8500.

The ADC Inmate Search covers the Arkansas Department of Corrections. Search by ADC number, name, gender, age, race, county, facility, or offense. The tool is free. Results show race, date of birth, date of incarceration, offense summary, and current facility. Questions go to adc.inmate.info@arkansas.gov. ADC headquarters sit at 6814 Princeton Pike, Pine Bluff.

Under Ark. Code Ann. § 12-12-1013, anyone has the right to see and challenge their own criminal history record in the ACIC system. Ark. Code Ann. § 12-12-1001 et seq. makes ACIC the state's central repository. Most of the raw ACIC data is exempt from FOIA and limited to criminal justice agencies.

Pope County FOIA Rules

Arkansas FOIA at Ark. Code Ann. § 25-19-101 et seq. makes arrest records, jail rosters, and booking sheets generally open. Requesters must be Arkansas citizens. Agencies have three business days to respond.

Sealed records are not public. The Comprehensive Criminal Record Sealing Act of 2013 at Ark. Code Ann. § 16-90-1401 et seq. is the framework. Petitions go to the court that heard the case. Most misdemeanors and some felony convictions can be sealed after the wait period ends. Serious violent felonies, sex offenses that require registration, public sexual indecency, indecent exposure, and exposing another person to HIV are not eligible. Juvenile sealing uses Ark. Code Ann. § 9-27-309.

Ongoing investigation files stay closed. Personnel files stay closed. Undercover officer identities stay closed. Medical records and adoption records stay closed. The Attorney General sits at 323 Center Street, Little Rock, 501-682-2007. Opinions 2003-057 and 2003-183 cover sealed record access.

Sex Offender Registry and VINE

The Arkansas Sex Offender Registry is run by ACIC. Search by address, city, county, ZIP, or name. The public map shows level 3 and level 4 offenders. Level 1 and 2 offenders are not posted. Around 1,624 lower-level offenders are hidden from the map statewide. Thousands more non-mappable offenders are in the registry but have addresses the tool cannot map.

Ark. Code Ann. § 12-12-903 sets the four risk tiers. Level 4 is a sexually violent predator. Level 4 offenders re-register every three months. Levels 1, 2, and 3 re-register every six months. Pope County has its own share of registered offenders, and the public map picks up any who live in Russellville or nearby towns at the top two tiers.

VINE is the victim alert service at vinelink.com. Call 1-800-510-0415 to sign up. The service is free. It tracks custody status at the Pope County Jail, at ADC facilities, and at the Arkansas State Hospital. Prosecutors also push circuit court event data into VINE. A four-digit PIN confirms the victim when a notice goes out. Juvenile info is not pushed to VINE unless the juvenile is charged as an adult.

Note: The Russellville area draws students from Arkansas Tech, so Pope County bookings sometimes include people who live elsewhere in the state during the rest of the year.

What a Pope County Arrest Record Shows

A typical Pope County arrest record holds the standard booking data. These fields repeat across most of the 75 Arkansas county rosters.

  • Arrest date, time, and location
  • Arresting agency and officer
  • Mugshot and booking number
  • Charges with statute citations
  • Class: felony, misdemeanor, infraction
  • Bond amount and court hearing date
  • Release date, if applicable

Some data is held back. Active warrants are often pulled from public view so a wanted subject does not see the alert first. Sealed records do not show. Juvenile cases under Ark. Code Ann. § 9-27-309 do not show. Medical records and adoption records are exempt. Undercover officer identities are exempt.
